LUSH Rosy Cheeks Mask

So when I won a giveaway a couple of weeks ago (I know, how lucky was I!) I was given the LUSH Rosy Cheeks Mask. This is usually £7.50 for a 75gram tub, so I was instantly super excited and couldn’t wait to give it a go!

So once I got the chance, I settled myself down, got my book ready, a cup of green tea brewing and popped the mask on! I read the sides and it said that it’s perfect for restoring balance on the face, so if you suffer from sensitive or problematic skin then it’s for you! My skin is really pale with a lot of red undertones and very acne prone so this really pleased me and got me very excited!

So my initial reaction to the application was pleasant. It’s got a very thick texture which means applying it wasn’t hard, it blended well and didn’t drip at all. Bonus! The smell was to die for,  it wasn’t too strong but it definitely had a scent, it didn’t give me a headache let’s put it that way!

I also only used a small amount, it went a long way! The pot could easily do 3 or 4 applications, which would make the price worth it in the long run!

So after 15 minutes, it did start to irritate me, I’m not a massive fan of anything that dries hard on my skin, it’s not usually my go-to when it comes to masks. I used a wet flannel to wipe off and rinse all the mask off and looked in the mirror.

It wasn’t “glowy” or as amazing as I was expecting. If anything, my skin was redder than before! I wasn’t impressed and thought maybe I’d left it on my face too long or I hadn’t cleaned it off properly. I double checked and everything was right! Such a shame.

So overall, as pretty as it looks and as excited as I was, it was a let-down for me. It might work on more sensitive skin tones or neutral toned people but for me, it’s a no.

Let me know whether you’ve tried this too guys! I’d love to know if it worked for you.

Until next time,

Cat x

  1. How weird! I’ve never heard of the Rosy Cheeks mask before, sounds like it does exactly that! I have very sensitive (and very. very. very. pale skin) too, maybe I should test run it aswell.
    Lovely post as per usual!
